Campout April 15-16

The next campout will be held April 15-16 in Oklahoma. We will be meeting at the church for departure at 4:30PM and will be returning to the church at 12:00 noon on the 16th. Parents will be contacted individually if the arrival time changes. The scouts are responsible for their own dinner and breakfast will be provided.

Game Night and Barbecue March 25th

The boys have earned a game night and barbecue through three months of impressive improvements in behavior and overall progress. Game night will be held tomorrow March 25th at 2015 Fair Oaks Circle in Corinth from 6:00-10:00PM. Dinner will be served. The boys will engage in a number of activities including group games, board games, card games and video games. Your scouts are free to bring games however, no "M" rated video games are allowed. Please pick up your scout by 10:00PM and be sure to congratulate your son for his outstanding behavior, progress and contribution to the troop.

Troop 164 has a new logo

The boys voted last night and overwhelmingly selected the black fiery eagle as the new Troop 164 logo. The fiery characteristic of the eagle represents their burning desire for progress. They are truly "on fire" as a whole. The eagle represents their goal of rank that holds great symbolism in itself as a strong and wise bird that flies high and sees clearly to avoid the pitfalls life offfers.

Troop Logo Voting

As the boys are working toward the rank of Eagle it was natural for them to choose the image of an eagle in their new logo. We are now in the final stages of selecting a troop logo. Please vote for your favorite one.

Logo 1 Flaming Red

Logo 2 Flaming Black

Visit to Denton Airport

We had a great time at the Denton Airport working on our Aviation merit badge. Thank you to Brother Ralphs for setting it up and going the extra mile to make it memorable for the scouts. Thank you to Brother Lucas and Tyson Walker for your help as well.
